There is nothing for sale or being promoted here. My goal is to take you on my literary journey by sharing my process and the inspiration behind my first novel, The Fallen.
If you are a new or yet-to-be-published up and coming author, or writing is your passion as it is mine—I hope you will find my journey interesting, engaging and relatable!
Love,
A supernatural romantic thriller
based on two of the most powerful forces
in the universe – love and fear
and perhaps the MOST powerful —
forgiveness.
For a first-time novel, I wanted to use what was familiar to me as building blocks of my characters and story. Of course, imagination and the creative process took over from there. A good place to start is to know your characters. I believe for many writers, their main characters dwell someplace in their own souls. By that, I mean that you understand how your characters would feel in the circumstances that you place them in because, in a sense, they are you or at least someone you know well.
As a child I loved the idea of bringing stories to life for the entertainment of others and would often put on skits with the neighborhood kids and my younger cousins. This led to leads in high school and university productions, as well as studying at the acclaimed Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts in London where I played Juliet in Romeo & Juliet.

The Fallen, Audrey’ Steidl’s debut novel, has its genesis in a real-life, chilling paranormal experience driven by her passion for bringing good stories to life as an actress, television producer and script writer.
After many years working as an acclaimed stage actress, and in television, Audrey pivoted to a highly successful second career in the travel & hospitality industry which afforded her the opportunity to travel throughout Italy, Austria, Scotland and Russia. The latter was life-changing as she and her husband adopted a five-year-old boy from an orphanage in Voronezh in 2004. All these colorful experiences helped to provide texture to The Fallen.
Audrey lives in San Diego with her husband, a 3-D animator and commercial artist, and their Pomeranian dog, Pandi, who likes to watch state funerals and weddings on TV. Their son, Niko, has just completed his service in the US Army and is still the love of their lives.
Audrey is currently hard at work on a sequel to The Fallen.
