Marrakesh Gallery

Arriving in Morocco with Christian and Ash, Rowan discovers a place unlike any other.

Here in this special place, an angel of peace, named Kahlil, lives in a beautiful riad with an aging human wife who is dying. Thinking that she has come to Marrakesh to meet another Fallen Angel, Rowan discovers that they are there to help perform a miracle – one that could risk the life of the man she loves.

As Ash guides Rowan and Christian to the door, a white cat with enormous green eyes turns to look curiously at them, launching itself onto an arched windowsill, content to clean its paws in front of this new peculiar audience.

Entering the courtyard of Kahlil and Amira’s riad, Rowan is struck by a sense of peace as she takes in the beauty of the blue, reflecting plunge pool and mysterious archways leading to other rooms.

When Kahlil shows them to their guest bedroom, Rowan is astonished by its intricate beauty.

Waking up the next morning, Rowan finds a gift from Amira – a beautiful aqua blue and silver djellabah hanging in her closet.

As Christian recovers, Khalil arranges for Ahmed, a friend, to take Rowan to the famous souks.

Filled with spices in baskets and gorgeous etched lanterns, Rowan is overwhelmed by the craftmanship she finds at the Souks as she falls more and more in love with Morocco and its people .

After visiting Christian in the hospital, Rowan returns to the rooftop garden of the Riad to meet with Kahlil

The next day, Rowan discovers a sumptuous breakfast tray outside of her door.

After Amira recovers, she takes Rowan to her favorite place; the famed, lush Jardin Marjorelle wherethey take in the serene beauty of the lily pond and gardens as Amira tells Rowan about her falling in love with Kahlil

When Kahlil takes Rowan to the slums to bless the impoverished children, she finds that even here there is joy. Experiencing the healing of a small boy at the hands of Kahlil, Rowan is overwhelmed at witnessing this miracle, knowing that these images are etched into her heart forever.

Amira, now known as Amina, takes Rowan to see the Mellah, the Jewish quarter of Marrakesh, a place that is close to her heart.

As Rowan leaves Marrakesh with Christian and Ashton, she knows that her experiences have changed her forever.

Isle Iona Gallery

Rowan approaches the tiny island of Iona, Scotland by ferry.

She sees a small village with story-book cottages and a nearly treeless landscape surrounded by beautiful blue-green waters.

Departing the ferry, Rowan meets a young local man who walks her through the village to her hotel.

Arriving at the hotel, Rowan checks in, knowing that she is within an hour of seeing Christian again.

Heading to the ancient Iona Abbey, Rowan begins to sense the unique beauty and spiritualty of the island.

Rowan is told to look for Christian on the white sand beach and she spots him there looking out over the striking and peaceful landscape.

After talking with Christian, he walks Rowan back towards the abbey and asks her to come to the services that evening.

Walking with Christian, Rowan sees ancient signs of faith throughout the island.

Rowan appreciates the stark beauty of the island in its smaller details

Attending mass later than night at the Abbey, Rowan hears Christian give a moving sermon on betrayal and forgiveness.

After the service, Rowan goes past the Cloisters looking for Christian

After speaking with the chaplain, Rowan walks along the path to the hotel and hears the baying of sheep in the distance

Arriving at the hotel, Rowan sees Christian standing by the wall overlooking the sea.

After saying their goodbye to Christian in the early morning light, Rowan leaves long.
